Girl collapses during a lift attempt at the Pan Am Games. 20-year-old Genesis Rodriguez Gomez, a Venezuelan, competed in the women's 53kg Group A at the competition, which is being held in Oshawa, Ontario.
She completed all three of her attempts on the snatch, which were at 88kg, 90kg, and 92kg, respectively. She missed her first attempt on the clean and jerk at 106kg. Rodriguez raised the bar to her shoulders and paused before raising it over her head. .
She collapsed onto the platform and the bar fell behind her. She later completed her second attempt at the same weight, as well as her third and final clean and jerk at 109kg. She ended up snagging a silver medal..... n said she was jst trying to depict how ppl eventually collapse under d yoke of sin......
